la mostra è stata selezionata dalla commissione Artistica del Festival e sarà esposta dal 7 settembre2020 al 5 ottobre 2020

Atlante è colui che “regge saldo con il capo e le braccia infaticabili la volta del cielo”, come dice Esiodo nella sua Teogonia. Questo racconto nasce dall’incontro tra la fotografia di Bondi e l’idea di una performance teatrale di Marco “Kira“ Cristoferi. Atlante, impersonato da performer la cui identità è annullata dal bianco, mostra all’umanità il suo modo di sentire le cose. La serie di fotografie racconta l’amore tra Atlante e Pleione e il loro incontro prima della rivolta scatenata assieme ai Titani e Crono, padre di Zeus, per la conquista dell’Olimpo. Ne scaturisce un racconto che è pura sintesi tra arte teatrale e fotografia di scena.

Atlas is the one who “holds firm with his head and untiring arms the vault of heaven”, as Hesiod says in his Theogony. This story comes from the encounter between Bondi’s photography and the idea of a theatrical performance by Marco “Kira” Cristoferi. Atlas, impersonated by performers whose identity is erased through white paint, shows humanity his way of feeling things. This series of photographs recounts the love between Atlas and Pleione, and their meeting before their revolt, unleashed together with the Titans and Chronos, father of Zeus, for the conquest of Olympus. The result is a story that is pure synthesis between theatrical art and stage photography.
